In my grade 6 fitness unit, students work toward being able to “Describe[s] the role of warm-ups and cool-downs before and after physical activity. (S3.M12.6)”
To help them develop this understanding, I created these Warm Up and Cool Down Posters! The posters’ purpose is to help students recognize some of the benefits of warming up prior to exercise and cooling down afterwards. Also, I include a short list of physical indicators that can help students identify when their body has properly warmed up or cooled down.
